The grandfather hugs his third grandchild in a loving embrace in this image. The duo also looks similarly dressed.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, recently shared a few photographs of their youngest and third child, Prince Louis, who turned two on April 23, 2020, and the photos of the naughty prince will melt your hearts. Other family members like the Prince Louis' grandfather and great-grandmother also wished the toddler.
One of the photos that were shared shows Prince Charles hugging Prince Louis in a loving embrace. The black and white image of the grandfather and grandson captured by Kate Middleton shows a side of Prince Charles rarely seen to the outside world. Both princes look similarly dressed in a shirt and shorts, indicating it was taken sometime in the summer. The photo has also found a place in Prince Charles' workplace at Birkhall, his Scottish home on the Balmoral estate.
Earlier in April, when he was virtually opening a new and temporary hospital to care for people who have been infected by the virus, which caused a pandemic, the portrait of Charles and Louis was seen, according to Town&Country. Prince Charles' official twitter handle shared the photo with a note, "A very Happy Birthday to Prince Louis, who turns two today. The young Prince enjoys a hug from his Grandfather, The Prince of Wales." While the young prince's face is not visible, Prince Charles looks overcome with emotion in this sweet moment between the two.
Meanwhile, Prince Louis' parents had also released some previously unseen images of their youngest. "Sharing a sneak peek of Prince Louis’ handiwork ahead of his second birthday! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share new images of Prince Louis, taken by The Duchess this April," they said on their official Instagram account. The photos they shared of their son showed him with hands doused in rainbow colors.
Middleton, a skilled and amateur photographer, captured her son in a playful moment while he created rainbow pictures, signifying hope, to put in their windows during this difficult time. Middleton often captures her children in sweet portraits. Many of them are released on birthdays, the first day of school, and other special occasions. Prince Louis isn't the only child in the UK taking up this colorful activity. In fact, kids across the country are doing this to share some positivity. The photo of the young prince was captured by his mother at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall.
They shared another set of pictures of Prince Louis while thanking everyone for their lovely wishes on his birthday. "Instagram vs Reality," they joked. In one of the photos, the prince's rainbow-colored palms are visible and in another, he can be seen applying color to his face. "Thank you for all your lovely messages on Prince Louis’ second birthday! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share new photographs of Prince Louis, taken by The Duchess this April," they continued.
Princess Eugenie, Prince William's cousin, commented on it with a heart emoji. Hollywood actress Jurnee Smollett Bell commented saying, "The Cutest" and shared a few heart emojis.
The Queen also wished her sixth great-grandson from her official Twitter account but there appears to be a mistake. Instead of the sixth, it says "seventh great-grandchild" in her Twitter post, according to Hello Magazine. "Happy Birthday to Prince Louis. HRH is the Queen's seventh great-grandchild. Today he turns two! The photos below were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge earlier this month," the post said while sharing the post initially published by the Cambridges.
