Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis honored their grandmother, whom they have never met, and their mom.
The UK celebrated Mother's Day on March 14 in 2021 and the most famous family of the country decided to honor the mothers in their lives in their own way. The British royal family saw a horrific tragedy when Princess Diana died, and maybe that's why they never fail to observe this day. Her sons still honor her and even their children like to remember their "granny" Diana on this day.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared some messages their children wrote for the late Princess of Wales. The photos were posted along with the caption, "This year Mother’s Day will be different once again. Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again. But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging. Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William. Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day."
Prince George, 7, and Princess Charlotte, 5, wrote sweet messages to their paternal grandmother, whom they have never met. Prince George wrote, "Dear Granny Diana. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you very much and think of you always. Sending lots of love from George."

While Princess Charlotte wrote, "Dear Granny Diana. I am thinking of you on Mother’s Day. I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte. xxx."
The Cambridges' youngest child, Louis, also made sure that he doesn't miss the opportunity and added his name next to a drawing of a heart, reports Metro UK. The children honored their mother, Kate Middleton, as well.
Prince William's children honoring his bond with his late mother was likely a sweet moment for him. The Duke of Cambridge wasn't the only one who showed how he and his family remembers Diana.
Prince Harry told Oprah that his decision to step back from the royal family was, in part, driven by the desire to avoid reliving what happened to his mother, Princess Diana.

Prince Harry reportedly made sure that he shows his love for his mom. Harry, 36, had flowers placed at Princess Diana's grave in Althorp, Northamptonshire, according to People. He was 12 when Diana passed away in 1997 and William, who is a patron of Child Bereavement UK, was 15.

William and Harry are reportedly going to reunite in the summer of 2021 to unveil the statue of their mother, Diana. It will take place at Kensington Palace in July, sources close to Harry have said. However, no specific travel arrangements have been done yet.
The brothers have reportedly started talking to each other again. According to Page Six, the brothers are "looking for ways to have a heart-to-heart talk" and a source confirms “they have opened communication channels." This report comes after Prince William said on March 11, post the Oprah interview, "No, I haven’t spoken to [Harry] yet, but I will do."
He also added that his family is "very much" not racist, writes Cosmopolitan. He is reportedly "devastated" by Harry and Meghan’s interview. William and his father, Prince Charles "feel that this is the first of many interviews coming in the future that will bash the crown and the royals’ way of life."

However, Harry has only said that he loves his brother. "As I said before, I love William to bits,” he told Oprah Winfrey. "We’ve been through hell together and we have a shared experience, but we are on different paths," he added. The Duke of Sussex also added that “the relationship is ‘space’ at the moment,” and added, "Time heals all things, hopefully."
The royal family was "saddened" when they learned the "full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan," the monarch said in a statement.

The interview might bring about change in the royal family or it might just be another controversy that the institution weathers, and moves on from. Regardless, the two brothers have immense love for their mom and want to do everything possible to honor her memory.
