Prince George, the third in line to the throne, is shy, reserved, and quiet... is probably what you'd think. But the eldest son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has already figured out a way to handle the photographers and large crowds. He is careful to reveal his spontaneous side only when he is away from the public gaze and opens up to people once he gets comfortable with them.

According to People, George takes time to open up around people, but once he does, his adorable personality springs out. “George takes a little while to warm up, but once he’s comfortable with you, he’s very chatty and charming,” the insider told People. Although he is kind and considerate, the little prince doesn't want to always be around his younger siblings. He is at the age where exploring the world around him is important. According to the source, George is “very independent now and not as interested in playing with Charlotte all the time. They are close, but George likes to go off and do his own thing."

While it has taken George time to get used to the spotlight, his little sister is a natural show-stealer who basks in the attention. Charlotte has always been herself and refuses to filter her moods and antics in front of the camera, much to the amusement of her fans. Although she is infamously known for sticking out her tongue at the photographers much like her Uncle Harry, she perfected the royal wave and regal poses way before her coy elder brother did.

However, George takes after his royal ancestry in many subtle ways that are easy to miss. Prince William, a proud father of three, revealed in a private reception with BBC Radio in 2018 how his eldest son already showed traits of his late mom Princess Diana when he was just four. In the reception that was held for teenagers, William spoke to an honoree who loves street dancing and revealed how his son has the exact same passion that his mom had for dancing.

"George is doing dancing as well, he loves it," said William in a video posted by the Palace. "And it's kind of…my mother always used to dance, she loved dancing. And if it's something you love, you do what you love. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. Keep at it," reported Elle.

The little prince shed his inhibitions when he was a page boy at his mom's friend, Sophie Carter's wedding. Carter is also Charlotte's godmother, and the royal siblings as usual stole the show. The pint-sized future king was seen marching gleefully and doing some cool dance moves as he led a bunch of adorable kids during the ceremony, according to People. But his stylish moves aren't the only thing he shares with his much-loved grandma.

Despite going through a rough marriage and being under scrutiny for her entire life after getting engaged to Prince Charles, Princess Diana forever remains etched in our memory as this beaming, radiant, free-spirited woman who refused to let norms dictate her life. After all, Prince Harry called her the "naughtiest parent" for a reason. And much like her infectious laugh and adventurous spirit, little George, too, shares this zest for life and positive energy that is hard to miss.

“He’s a jolly little person and inquisitive,” a family friend told People. Unlike how he may appear in front of the cameras, he is free-spirited and “full of beans,” revealed the friend, using an expression the Brits use to describe a lively spirit.

He is also a huge fan of The Lion King and the Lego movies. He loves the outdoors, and his mom Kate Middleton makes it a point that all her kids get enough time outdoors every single day, even she has a packed schedule. George clearly is in his element when he is under the vast sky with nothing to hold him back.

After a polo match his dad just finished playing back in 2018, George dashed across the open lawn enjoying every bit of the green and the sun. His little sister, who was just all of three back then, followed him. “George ran with his head up as fast as he could,” an observer told People.

“He looked back at Charlotte once or twice but kept on going. He was not holding back. And the first thing he did when he got there was slide down the hill on his bum.” If that isn't adorable, we don't know what is. Who could forget the utter delight on Diana's face when she was enjoying the day outdoors with her sons? All of us who miss her can safely know that the People's Princess lives on in spirit in her two incredible sons and all her grandkids.
