Prince Harry's birthday was on Sunday, September 15 and this was also his first birthday as a father.
The last time we saw baby Archie was in the official photos from his christening day on July 6. He was later photographed once during an outing with the family. Baby Sussex' parents have chosen to keep him away from the public eye, and hence, the world has seen very little of him.
So for those who've been hoping to see more of baby Archie's photos, the Sussexes joint Instagram account just gave us another look at the child from his christening day! Meghan Markle shared the image along with eight others on her husband Prince Harry's 35th birthday. The couple celebrated his birthday on Sunday, September 15, which was also his first as a father.
"Wishing a very happy birthday to His Royal Highness Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex!
A birthday message from The Duchess of Sussex:
“Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day. You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you ❤️Happiest birthday!” said the message on their joint Instagram account.
The message was accompanied by nine photos, including a new one showing Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in the ceremonial clothing for his christening. He was sitting on his mother, Meghan Markle's, lap while Prince Harry bends his knees to face his sweet little son.
His father and uncle, Prince William, participated in the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day in Berkshire in July. His aunt Kate Middleton, cousins, and mother was also present for at the sporting event, where the family was photographed in an informal setting for the first time since Archie's birth.
Last week, he told high schoolers that his son was "well" and "he is getting so big," according to Cosmopolitan. Meanwhile, the birthday photo collage shows Prince Harry in the various roles he plays. As a son, brother, husband, father, philanthropist, and serving the country while in the military.
Here's a closer look at the photo of baby Archie:
Baby Archie looked like a replica of his father from his christening. He too had worn the traditional christening gown for the formal occasion. While the original gown has been retired since then, baby Archie wore an exact copy of it.
Other family members also wished Prince Harry on his birthday. His brother and sister-in-law, Prince William, 37, and Duchess Catherine, 37, wrote from their joint Kensington Royal account, "Wishing a very happy birthday to the Duke of Sussex today!"
The Queen's social media account also shared a message for Prince Harry. "Happy Birthday to The Duke of Sussex – 35 today! #HappyBirthdayHRH" it said and included a photo of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry sharing a smile.
Harry’s dad Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall also sent their birthday wishes, according to People.com. “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to The Duke of Sussex, who turns 35 today!” the post read.
Only last month, Prince Harry shared a tribute to his wife, Duchess Meghan Markle, who turned 38. "Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure! - Love, H" Prince Harry wrote in the post.
Happy birthday, Prince Harry!
