The couple had received wishes from their family when their son, Archie, turned one on May 6 but their anniversary only 13 days later went unmarked.
Being able to spend our wedding anniversaries just the way we want, with no work or other responsibilities coming in the way, is something many couples wish for. We would love to spend our day with our partner quietly and privately, at home or otherwise. It's not always possible for everyone but it looks like that the younger royal couple, Harry and Meghan Markle were able to get some time away just to themselves.
Two years ago, on May 19, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan walked down the aisle at the St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, and this moment was witnessed by almost two billion people from across the world. Now, on their second anniversary, the couple has a smaller audience which doesn't include their royal family. However, they seem unperturbed as they wanted a simple time between themselves.
The couple has been busy working from their Los Angeles home, but for their anniversary, they took time off to enjoy a "lovely" family moment with their one-year-old son, Archie Mountbatten Windsor, as per Harper's Bazaar. "The day will simply be quality time with one another and as a family," a source close to the couple said. "They're not going to be doing any work and made sure they have no meetings or calls in the diary."

"Like everyone else, they are in lockdown at the moment, so they will just be hanging out together at home," says the source. "But it will still be a lovely day," wrote Omid Scobie, the author of their upcoming biography, Finding Freedom.
Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, are said to be living in actor Tyler Perry's Beverly Hills mansion, from where they have been organizing charitable foundations, according to the Daily Mail. While the couple celebrated between themselves, their royal family in the UK has failed to pay any tribute whatsoever.

Last year, the Queen had wished the couple on their anniversary while Prince William and Kate Middleton had desisted from it. The Queen's official Twitter account had said, "Wishing The Duke and Duchess of Sussex a very happy wedding anniversary. Today marks one year since Their Royal Highnesses exchanged vows at St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle."
Meanwhile, their Harry and Meghan's fans wished them on social media and many tributes flooded various platforms, including one from Kingdom Choir - who performed at their wedding. The couple has no personal or official social media accounts at the moment since they chose to archive their Sussex Royal Instagram handle.
Happy Wedding Anniversary to Harry and Meghan! 2 years ago many of us witnessed the most beautiful and most watched royal wedding ever. The couple recently shared a small glimpse from their personal life when on their son, Archie's birthday, they allowed a charitable organization to share a video of Meghan reading to their son. The prince recorded the video and, though not visible in the video, can be heard cheering for his excited son. Meanwhile, Archie's mom reads to him Duck Rabbit, a children's book.
Meghan doesn't use her incredible voice just for her son. She's also used it for a voiceover for a Disney+ documentary, Elephants. The proceeds from the work project went to a charitable organization, Elephants Without Borders, with which the couple has a long relationship.
"I've been very lucky to be able to have hands-on experience with elephants in their natural habitat," she said, as per ABC7NY. "When you spend time connecting to them and the other wildlife, you really understand we have a role to play in their preservation and their safety," she said.

"These creatures are so majestic and at the same time they are so sensitive and so connected," the Suits actress continued, adding, "I think they are a lot more like us than they are different."
"I hope that when people see this film, they realize how connected we all are. If we had more of an awareness about the obstacles they're facing, I think we'd take care of each other, this planet and animals in a very different way," she said.
