On Duchess Meghan Markle's 38th birthday, her caring husband stands by her while she takes on challenging projects to inspire people and empower women.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated yet another milestone together since the birth of their child Baby Archie and the first anniversary of their wedding. Through their joint social media account on Instagram, her loving husband wished her even as she celebrated her birthday as a royal mother for the first time on August 4.
The Duchess of Sussex turned 38 this Sunday and she was showered with wishes from other family members too. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Kate Middleton and Prince William, father-in-law, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also wished her happy birthday through their social media accounts. They shared wishes and photos of her.
“Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday,” read a post from the Sussexroyal Instagram account. They shared a photo of Meghan smiling. The message included a personal message from Prince Harry too. “Happy birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!’ -Love, H,” the message read.
The photo showed the duchess during the royal couple's first tour together, which was a tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga, according to CNN.
Royal reporter Omid Scobie told Katie Couric in her Wake-Up Call newsletter that there wouldn't be any big bash but a peaceful day together.
"Prince Harry will be back from Google Camp in Sicily, where he gave a speech about the fight against climate change, so they’ll be spending Meghan’s birthday quietly as a family," he said. "The Sussexes have been so busy this year that I can imagine her birthday will simply involve a well-deserved day of rest with a few friends—and, of course, precious moments with Archie."
Prince William and Kate Middleton said, "Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!" on their social media account. The photo showed a smiling Meghan holding Prince Harry's arms while brother-in-law Prince William, sister-in-law Kate Middleton, and father-in-law Prince Charles walked beside the young couple.
Prince Charles, with whom Meghan shares a special bond, and his wife Camilla wished her too. "A very Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex." They also shared three photos of the Duchess.

Many other people came forth with birthday wishes for the royal mom, who has been inspiring people with her work. Recently, she became a guest editor for British Vogue and chose 15 inspiring women to be featured in the issue. A driving force for women's empowerment, she chose to not be on the cover even as she put the focus on the women from diverse backgrounds.
"It's been really polarizing and it's a shame because it should all be positive reaction. It's a brilliant issue," said Harriet Hall, lifestyle editor for the Independent newspaper, according to CBC. "She's saying, 'I'm not the focus here, but these are the women that should be,'" said Hall. "You could say she is out there trying to get attention, but she's actually trying to do what is expected of royals, which is charity, philanthropy, and those are the things that she is promoting in this issue."
Earlier, the couple had asked followers to suggest who they should follow on Instagram. They already follow many charities and causes every month to bring focus to the philanthropic work that they do.
"For the month of August we look to you for help. We want to know who YOUR Force for Change is," the couple wrote on their official Instagram account. "Over the next few days please add your suggestions into the comments section: someone you look up to, the organisation doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better (or that simply makes you feel good), or the handle that brims with optimism for a brighter tomorrow," the message said.
