Prince Louis Stole the Show With His Antics at the Buckingham Palace Balcony During 70-Aircraft Flypast

Even though the whole event was to mark his great-grandmother, the Queen's big day, it was Prince Louis that actually had the most fun!

Queen Elizabeth recently marked 70 years on the throne and it was an occasion for the whole country to celebrate. Naturally, all eyes were on the Queen as she appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Trooping the Color parade.

Per TODAY, on the morning of June 2nd, 2022, 70 aircraft appeared for the impressive flypast, marking Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.

At one point, the flypast even formed the shape of “70,” honoring the Queen’s reign—which is the longest in British history. Towards the end, U.K.’s colors of red, white, and blue pulled through the sky as airplanes flew past to roaring crowds below, according to Marie Claire.

But it was her great-grandson Prince Louis who ended up stealing the show. The young royal, 4, appeared on the palace balcony with other members of the family, including his parents, Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and older siblings Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 7.

While the working members remained poised, Prince Louis displayed a myriad of emotions during the ceremony. It seemed like the sound of the planes were too loud for him! In fact, Charlotte and George were on their best behavior during the parade, except for a few expressions of joy and excitement here and there. But Louis, who was sporting the same sailor suit that his father wore at the Trooping the Color as a child in 1985, had a lot more energy than his siblings.

Not only did he wave at the crowd, but he also kept them entertained with his cute little antics. At one point, he even went up to the Queen to have a little chat with her, probably about how bored he was.

Soon enough, social media was filled with images of Prince Louis looking simply adorable. “Prince Louis has had it already with the celebrations,” one wrote and posted a photo of the 4-year-old looking bored.
