According to Prince William, during boarding school days, Princess Diana would play various songs to ease their anxiety about returning to school. One song that left a lasting impression on Prince William was Tina Turner's The Best, per New York Post. He fondly remembered sitting in the backseat, singing along with his mother, creating a sense of togetherness and warmth.

The shared experience continued as even the occasional police officer in their car would join in the singing. The Prince admitted that the memories of those car rides and singing sessions with his mother have stayed with him over the years. Listening to The Best today takes him back to those special moments.

"When I was younger, Harry and I, we were at boarding school. And my mother used to play all sorts of songs to kind of while away the anxiety of going back to school," William said at the time, reports Independent. "And one of the songs I massively remember and has stuck with me all this time – and I still, to this day, still quite enjoy secretly – is Tina Turner's The Best, because sitting in the backseat, singing away, it felt like a real family moment."
