The late monarch's only daughter, Princess Anne made a tribute to the armed forces in the Remembrance Sunday Service held by the Royal Family in fond remembrance of Queen Elizabeth II. She was accompanied by her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Duke of Kent, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester for the service held in Whitehall today, per Independent. The service was led by King Charles as the nation's sovereign and was held at the Royal Albert Hall.

After a two-minute silence observed in respect and remembrance of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Anne marched forward to lay a wreath at the foot of the monument built in 1920. She placed the wreath after her younger brother Prince Edwards paid his respects, and placed the wreath nearby the other senior royal family members' wreaths. Princess Anne has several military honors to her name. During Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee in 2012, Princess Royal was promoted to the rank of admiral.

Since 1974, Anne has served as the Women's Royal Naval Service's Chief Commandant, per the website of Royal Family. After the Women's Royal Naval Service was merged into the Royal Navy in 1993, the position was given the new title of Chief Commandant of Women in the Royal Navy. The Grey and Simcoe Forresters are two of the Canadian regiments she is a colonel of. Anne, 72, was neatly dressed in military uniform during her presence at the service. The last time she was seen in a public ceremony in uniform was the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on September 19. Remembrance Sunday was distinctly important for Queen Elizabeth II, as she believed it was one of the most crucial and sacred engagements in the royal family. This service, therefore, marks an important and somber moment for the Royal Family.

Late Queen Elizabeth II was not only a committed patron of the Royal British Legion offered support and service to families since 1921 but also the longest-serving head of the Armed Forces. Her dedication, service and commitment to the Royal responsibilities were remembered at the service and appreciated thoroughly. Host for the service BBC said that the late monarch had symbolized "complete" service and duty, describing it as "watchwords" of military life.
