The little princess sure knows what she wants and isn't afraid to get it.
On many occasions, Princess Charlotte's personality has revealed that she is one of the sassiest and coolest members of the British family. Time and again, palace insiders have also revealed how cutely bossy she can be and how she likes to have a say in the activities that constitute her life.
Mommy Kate Middleton's recent interview from her Ireland tour only strengthens this belief. She revealed that Charlotte has a knack for sports and that she is athletic. "Charlotte is really into gymnastics, she's doing cartwheels, handstands, everything. It's so good for their basic skills of balance and coordination," HELLO! quoted her.
The little princess is also a horse-rider. What's incredible though is that she started riding when she was only 17 months old, claims HELLO! In 2016, Kate met Paralympic gold medallist Natasha Baker, who dished, "She [Kate] emphasized that Charlotte has this passion for horses and although she doesn't echo it, she'll do her best to champion and encourage it."
It is not unknown that Kate is, in fact, a very supportive mother. In her recent podcast, she stated that her family loves spending time outdoors and, as a mother, it is very important for her that they continue to do so. For the same podcast, she shared an unseen photo of Charlotte, where she can be seen completely absorbed in smelling a bluebell. Her little fingers hold the frail stem as she knees over to take in the fragrance. She might be sassy, but she is also sensitive and aware.
Not only is Princess Charlotte a sporty child, but she also loves to dance and express herself freely. HELLO! reports that Prince William had once told the Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, “My daughter Charlotte loves dancing.” The news outlet also claimed that the four-year-old is a ballerina and takes weekly private ballet lessons at a dance school in South London. Being the supportive mommy that Kate is, she has even taken her daughter to watch The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House in Central London.
Horse-riding, gymnastics, dancing, the princess is surely growing up to be an all-rounder. But she also has a pick of favorite indoor activities, too. Mail Online quoted Kate saying she “frequently gets her two eldest children [Prince George and Princess Charlotte] to cook with her,” and they often make their “favourite ‘cheesy pasta.’” She added that they like making everything from scratch and that George and Charlotte love to "get their hands messy" making pizza dough.
It doesn't stop there; the Independent reported that Princess Charlotte has a Spanish teacher, and the little one is “already chatting away in Spanish”. Is there anything William's little girl can't do?
According to Vanity Fair, at an event, Kate had told another mom that "Charlotte is growing up really fast. She is the one in charge." And who can forget those famous moments of mischief caught on camera, where her rebellious spirit shines through?
There is so much of her Uncle Harry and Grandma Diana, too, that can be seen in such moments. Considering how free-spirited and globally loved Lady Diana was, Charlotte may take after her grandmother in more than a few ways.
There is no doubt that Charlotte will grow up to be a fierce and talented princess when she comes of age. With all the skills she has picked up at such a tender age, it will be a delight to see her grow up and become the leader she is meant to be.
