"With each year, I find even more reasons to love her, and I am thrilled to celebrate another year of her bright light in my life!" her daughter wrote.
On her 47th birthday, Reese Witherspoon is being celebrated by her loved ones. On March 22, the actor's birthday, her children Ava, 23, and Deacon Phillippe, 19, wrote heartfelt messages for her on Instagram. "Happy, happy birthday to this legendary lady I’m lucky enough to call my mama!" daughter, Ava Phillippe, wrote on Instagram. "She is truly a force of nature. While I am endlessly inspired by her and so proud of all she’s accomplished, what I admire most is the way she moves through the world as a curious, considerate, gracious, and loving person," she wrote of her doting mother.
"With each year, I find even more reasons to love her, and I am thrilled to celebrate another year of her bright light in my life! Love you always @reesewitherspoon," she concluded her moving post.

On his Instagram story, Deacon Phillippe posted a cute old picture of him and his mother from when he was younger, per TODAY. On top of the snap, he wrote, "Happy birthday to the most amazing mom. Beyond grateful for you." Witherspoon, obviously moved by these gestures, commented below Ava's post, "How did I get so lucky to have a daughter like you?"

Aside from Ava and Deacon Phillippe, whom she shares with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, Witherspoon is also mother to 10-year-old Tennessee with her husband Jim Toth. Witherspoon got pregnant at a young age, and in an interview, she revealed that she was terrified, per PEOPLE. "To be completely candid, I was terrified too," Witherspoon, then 44, said of being a young parent, adding, "I got pregnant when I was 22 years old, and I didn't know how to balance work and motherhood, you just do it."

She noted that she was also scared for her career. "I didn't know if I was going to have steady work, too," she continued. "I made movies but I hadn't established myself as someone who could demand that it shoot close to my kids' school," she shared.
Witherspoon added that at the time she "didn't have any real power or leverage within my industry" at the time. "I was just like every other mom and dad trying to figure it out," she said. However, the Legally Blonde actress noted that it's all worth it. "There's a lot of compromises. Every bit of that sacrifice is truly worth it. You feel like that's what makes me wake up on a Sunday, it's not movies or my job, it's my kids," she shared.
