Rihanna revealed she was "thinking about bringing someone" out for her halftime performance in an interview with CBS Sports, but the 34-year-old made it seem as though she was discussing an unexpected musical guest. While talking with the outlet, she teased, "I'm not sure. We'll see," adding that revealing who she would be sharing the stage with on Sunday "wouldn't be a surprise."

As she took the stage, however, she revealed a baby bump and excitedly confirmed her pregnancy to PEOPLE

Before Rihanna walked the stage, "nobody knew," a source told PEOPLE, claiming that "she totally hid it." In the first few seconds of her performance, Rihanna played up the big reveal by caressing her stomach and letting the zipper of her jumpsuit, which she wore over a form-fitting bodysuit and sculpted bandeau, fall to expose her belly.

In May 2022, the Grammy winner and 34-year-old A$AP Rocky's first child, a son, was born. Rihanna first made the announcement of her first child's arrival in January 2022. A source had told PEOPLE at the time that Rihanna was "excited to be a mom" and "couldn't be happier" after she was spotted in New York City displaying her baby bump.
