The two have been married since 2015 and welcomed a daughter last year.
Riley Keough and her stuntman husband Ben Smith-Petersen were recently spotted on a grocery run in LA a month after the tragic death of her mother Lisa Marie Presley. The couple, who have been married since 2015, dressed in casuals as they walked to the upscale grocery store, Erewhon. Keough wore an off-white ruby turtleneck sweater by ALC, paired with blue jeans and black loafers as she walked with her husband who sported a grey t-shirt and blue jeans.
The actress and her Australian native husband tied the knot in 2015 after first meeting while filming Mad Max: Fury Road in 2012. The two were briefly introduced on set but didn't start dating until a year later while doing re-shoots in Australia. The two announced their engagement in 2014, per PEOPLE. "My husband is such a good person," wrote the 33-year-old actress in a 2022 essay for Vogue Australia. "He's calm and loyal and strong and sensitive. He's my best friend, " she added.
Keough spoke of how the two shared a desire always to keep communicating no matter what. "Love turns into different things over the years, and I’m excited to see all the different phases it goes through," she said. She's ready to embrace the simple joys in life with her partner, she shared. "I’m excited to wake up and be in our house and have our coffee, and Ben goes for a surf and we’re just hanging out when we’re older. I’m excited to have kids. Everything is exciting to me, with him. Every day is exciting when you’re with your soulmate," she wrote at the time.
After years of marriage, they welcomed their daughter last year. Smith-Petersen confirmed her birth while he gave a speech on behalf of his wife during a memorial service for Lisa Marie Presley last month, according to PEOPLE. "I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters," he said reading his wife's words in tribute to his late mother-in-law.
"Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I'm a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart," the tribute added.
Lisa Marie is also survived by her mother Priscilla Presley, 77 and her twin daughters Finley and Harper Lockwood. Her son Benjamin Keough died by suicide at age 27 in 2020.
