The birthdays of the father and daughter are only one day apart.
Ron Howard, a well-known Hollywood performer, and director, and his daughter Bryce Dallas Howard celebrated each other's birthdays by sharing some adorable old photos. The birthdays of the father and daughter are only one day apart, per TODAY. Bryce Dallas shared a set of photos from when she was a young child playing with her renowned father, 69, on Instagram on March 1. In one photo, Ron Howard holds his toddler daughter in his arms as the two grin for the camera. He appears to be as boyishly young as his Happy Days character Richie Cunningham, albeit with a mustache. In the second picture, the devoted parent can be seen reading to his daughter.
"Daddio, you are my best friend — always have been, always will be. I love you. Happy Birthday," the 42-year-old Jurassic World: Dominion star wrote in the caption. She further described the pictures stating that the first image was shot in 1983, just before she turned 2. "Ron wears a light blue t-shirt, bringing out both his and BDH’s matching eye color," she added. "Ron (right) and BDH (left) sit on the floor, leaning against a bed as Ron reads BDH a book," she wrote of the second photo, which she referred to as a "bedtime candid" from 1987.
Ron Howard was equally considerate on March 2 when he wished his daughter a happy birthday on Instagram. The former actor of Andy Griffith Show shared a picture of a young Bryce Dallas dozing off with her head propped up on a blue stuffed animal.
The proud father boasted about his eldest child's many qualities in his caption. "It’s been one of THE joys of our lives to witness @BryceDHoward grow into the woman, mother, wife & consummate showbiz pro that she is," he gushed. In addition to Bryce, Ron and his wife Cheryl share Paige, Jocelyn, younger twin girls, and a son Reed. "Ever evolving she’s somehow personally ambitious & generous & loving all at once. #HappyBirthdayBryce. You make us grateful & proud. Cheryl & I & the rest of the family can’t wait to where else your journey takes. We’re with you all the way!" (sic) he added.
Bryce Dallas also spoke candidly to TODAY in June 2020 about her unique bond with her father. “My dad was constantly bringing me to movie sets. I loved that. He inspired me. But we also played a ton of basketball at home,” said the actor. “We’d just go and shoot baskets on the driveway. We did it a zillion times. Whenever I think about it, it brings me warmth and happiness,” she added.
