The 86-year-old actress and humor queen suffered a series of strokes earlier this month.
'If life gives you lemons, you make lemonade,' and Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In actress, Ruth Buzzi, seems to live by this rule. The 86-year-old actress suffered a series of strokes earlier this month. But the Golden Globe winner pulled through her health condition and tweeted about her recovery status to pacify her huge fan base. In her tweet, she keeps her words witty and humorous, as usual.
"Some people have strokes of luck; I had the other kind,” wrote the Sesame Street actress in the tweet which included a picture of herself with her pet cat. "But thanks for all your love, messages, cards, letters and Sweet Tweets! And although my final arrangements include cremation, I'm not quite ready to make an ash out of myself. xoxoxo," continued the tweet.

Days before her recent tweet, Buzzi's husband, Kent Perkins shared about his wife's health struggles through her Facebook profile, reported PEOPLE. Buzzi and Perkins have been married for 43 years now. They tied the knot in 1978 and have stayed strong ever since.
In his heartfelt post, he wrote, "This photo was from nearly a year ago on Ruthie's birthday. She wants you to know she is not in pain and is aware you are sending your best wishes her way as she battles the results of devastating strokes that have left her bedridden and incapacitated. She can still speak and understand, she still recognizes all her friends and loved ones. I am reading to her your wonderful comments and she smiles."
Buzzi and Perkins retired and moved on to live on their ranch, located in Texas. The couple has had each other's back through sickness and in health. Perkins expressed his admiration for his wife by adding, "I am living with an attitude of gratitude for 43 years of marriage to my best friend, the greatest person I ever met, the one and only Ruth Buzzi. Her love for others knows no bounds, and she has spent a lifetime making people smile. "
The deep and meaningful words written by Perkins didn't go unappreciated by Buzzi. She replied to the post, saying, "Thank you for your love and friendship for all these years."
