Grayson Chrisley was taken to the hospital after a vehicle accident last weekend left him injured. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that the 16-year-old son of Todd and Julie Chrisley was in Nashville, Tennessee, last Saturday when he crashed into the back of a stopped car. Grayson was unable to remember anything about the collision after it happened, maybe because of a head injury. However, Grayson Chrisley is doing "OK." Though the 16-year-old Chrisley Knows Best attempted to downplay the terrifying accident to his family, his older sister Savannah Chrisley explained just how terrifying the whole incident was, as per PEOPLE.

In conversation with mom Julie Chrisley on her Unlocked podcast, Savannah, 25, said: "He made it sounds like a fender-bender." Apparently, the front side of his truck and every airbag was deployed. "It was bad".The brother-sister duo has had an awesome relationship and Grayson is very close to Savannah. She continued, "When I showed up and saw it, literally my heart sank because, for anyone that knows, Grayson has always had a special place in my heart." Savannah further added that Grayson had indicated that with the current legal issues involving parents Julie and Todd, this was "the last thing" their family needed. She went on, "He's OK. He's beat up, but he's OK. It could've been worse."

Todd discussed the incident on the Chrisley Confessions podcast and referred to it as "horrific." In the Nov. 17 episode, Todd said to have found Grayson on the interstate. "We got the phone call that we had to get to him. I ran out of the house." He added that he saw Grayson on a stretcher in the back of that ambulance while he was crying. The police had stopped Todd to talk to him before they took him to Grayson and all he could think of was "thank you God because he is alive and crying." The police had asked Todd if he wanted to ride with Grayson to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and he said, "I'm not going anywhere. I'll be with him until he comes home with me." He kept reassuring an injured Grayson saying, "It's OK. It's gonna be OK."

The crash took place just before Grayson's parents were given a sentence for the financial crimes. In June, Todd, 53, and Julie, 49, were found guilty of conspiring to conduct tax fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States, according to Atlanta Journal Constitution via PEOPLE. Also, Julie was convicted guilty of wire fraud. The reality stars were charged with fabricating documents to obtain $30 million in bank loans to support their lavish lifestyles. They have persisted in denying all accusations. Todd was given a sentence of 12 years in prison and 16 months of probation, while Julie received a sentence of 7 years in prison and 16 months of probation, despite the fact that their attorney claimed a witness "lied" on the stand in an effort to have the convictions overturned.
