The pair had several health scares recently including Ozzy's Parkinson's diagnosis.
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are celebrating a huge milestone together. The couple has been together for over 50 years, and been married for 40!
Ozzy shared a sweet throwback snap from the couple's wedding day as they mark their 40th wedding anniversary. "40 Years Ago Today! Happy Anniversary My Love," the Black Sabbath rocker captioned the photo.
Sharon, who met her husband when she was just 18 years old, also tweeted a picture of the two writing: 52 years together and today 40 years married Always by my side. My soulmate, Happy Anniversary Ozzy. According to PEOPLE, the two tied the knot in 1982 and share three children: Aimée, Kelly and Jack.
The pair have been through so much together; more recently being several recent health scares including COVID-19. In June, Sharon revealed she was heading to Los Angeles to be by her husband's side while he went through a significant surgery.
A source told Page Six that the musician was going to be “having the pins in his neck and back realigned from when he had a fall back in 2019 … He’s been in a lot of pain.” The 73-year-old Black Sabbath frontman has battled Parkinson’s disease for several years now and his movement has been affected by the disease. But he's had his family beside him through it all.
Not only health scares, but the Osbournes have also been affected by cheating scandals over the years as well. After being married for 33 years the couple briefly split in 2016 while rumors circulated that Ozzy had an affair with hairstylist Michelle Pugh.
“I honestly at this point today have no idea what I’m going to be doing with the rest of my life,” Sharon said on The Talk at the time, as per Us Weekly.
“I don’t know where I’m going, who I’m going with. And I just need time to think. And really think about myself, about what do I really want for … Because I’m 63 years of age and I can’t keep living like this.”
The musician admitted in a statement that he cheated on his then-wife with many women. He also revealed that he had been dealing with sex addiction for six years. But the couple worked through it and patched things up rather quickly. A source revealed that the couple had been going to therapy and worked hard on their relationship in becoming stronger.
In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Ozzy admitted, "It's a rock 'n' roll thing — you rock and you roll. You take the good with the bad. When I was a crazy f---er, I'm lucky she didn't walk out. When I said, 'Don't get caught by your missus,' I'm not proud of all that s---," he said. "I upset my wife and I upset my family and I made a lot of shock and shame. I love my wife, and it made me realize what a f----- idiot I've been."
