In a gorgeous carousel of images with Allison posted on Instagram, Stephen wished her a happy anniversary and included a sweet caption. "Happy anniversary my love," he wrote, tagging his lovely wife, with the hashtag #9years. The couple can be seen dancing and cheerfully flashing their new wedding bands to the camera in a series of professional photos from their 2013 wedding.

Allison returned the favor by posting a sweet Instagram video montage set to Adele's One and Only that featured images from their wedding. "It's our 9th anniversary!!" she wrote. "I couldn't be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!! Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU," she wrote, with hashtags "#happyanniversary" and "#bosswedding2013."

The couple, both wonderful dancers and wonderful parents to three children, first met while the popular dance show's All Stars season was being filmed. Before finishing in second place on Star Search and going on to compete on So You Think You Can Dance in 2008, Boss achieved fame on MTV's The Wade Robson Project. In the fourth season of the program that year, he finished second, and in 2022, he returned as an All-Star and even a judge. Boss debuted as a guest DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014. He eventually established himself as a regular character on the show, and in 2020, he was promoted to co-executive producer.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE on Wednesday, Allison confirmed Stephen's passing. She wrote, "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him."

The pair have three children together: Zaia, 3, Maddox, 6, and Weslie, 14. Allison, in her heartbreaking statement, wrote: "He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won't be a day that goes by that we won't honor his memory."

"We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our 3 children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you," she concluded.
