"Oh if only I could FaceTime to heaven," wrote ‘tWitch’ Boss’ Mom, sharing an old screenshot of Facetiming him.
Trigger warning: This article contains themes of suicide that some readers may find distressing
It is very difficult for a parent to lose their child, especially when the loss is as tragic as that of Stephen "tWitch" Boss's death. On Wednesday, Boss' mother recently posted a memorial to her late son on Instagram. The tragic message included a previous FaceTime image from Connie Boss Alexander and Stephen's conversation just before his untimely passing. "Oh if only I could FT to heaven," she unhappily captioned the image, per PEOPLE.
Connie had written a post on her Instagram Story two days after Stephen passed away to share her sorrow. She stated, "Family and friends, thank you for all the love, prayers, and encouragement," she wrote. "Please know I see all the messages, texts, posts, and phone calls. I can't use words right now. Please know I will reach out when I can." She continued about her son, "Stephen Laurel, your mother loves you to eternity and beyond."
It seems that Stephen and his mother were close. Boss routinely posted cute photos of his mother and himself. In September, on Boss's birthday, Connie shared a beautiful carousel of pictures, alongside a heartfelt caption honoring her son. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOOBOO! (I get to use it at each milestone don't fuss at me) Scrolling through, realizing any picture is inadequate to describe the happiness and pride I feel on today. All the professional accomplishments notwithstanding, what strikes me more is the man you have become...from a son and brother, to a husband and father. I couldn't have envisioned a better journey. Not always easy but oh the outcome is....everything! I thank God for the gift of you and the #40 years He has covered, protected, and blessed you! To all the tomorrows and the next 40...Let's Go," she wrote.
Boss returned the love when he posted a carousel of pictures in October for his mom's birthday, asking everyone to wish his mom. "Everyone help me wish @ladycalexa MY MOM A HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Mom thank you for life and thank you for love. Love you to the moon and back and back again. Happy birthday!" he wrote.
Last week, Allison Holker, Boss's wife broke the news of her spouse's death via a heartbreaking statement sent to PEOPLE. "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him." She continued, "He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won't be a day that goes by that we won't honor his memory."
"We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our 3 children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you," she concluded.
