The Strawberry Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on June 5 Will Push Us to Choose Adventure Over Fear | Are You Ready for It?

The Strawberry Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on June 5 Will Push Us to Choose Adventure Over Fear | Are You Ready for It?

The full moon in June is called the Strawberry Moon since this month was the picking season for strawberries.

We get to see 12 full moons a year and June's full moon was named as the Strawberry Moon by early Native Americans since fruit picking season began during this time. It will be seen between June 5 and June 6. It won't be just a full moon but will also bring a penumbral lunar eclipse. A penumbral lunar eclipse is one where the earth, moon and the sun are in imperfect alignment.

When the earth is in between the sun and the moon and blocks some or all of the sun's light from reaching the surface of the moon is when we get a lunar eclipse. During a penumbral lunar eclipse, the earth stops only some of the sun's light from reaching the moon's surface. It covers some or all of the moon with the outer part of its shadow, also known as the penumbra. It might be hard to tell a normal full moon from a penumbral eclipse of it since the earth's penumbra is faint, as per TimeandDate.

Why is the June full moon called the strawberry moon?

This full moon indicates the beginning of the strawberry picking season. It has more names like Rose Moon, the Mead Moon, and Hot Moon, which refers to the start of summer. This moon also shows up in the same month as the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year. This year it will be June 20. The penumbral lunar eclipse will happen on the night of June 5 and will be visible from Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa, according to the Telegraph.

How does it affect us?

When there's a full moon, the energy might seem explosive for all of us. During this phase, only the masculine Yang energy could be reaching us during this time, which can cause an emotional imbalance for most zodiac signs. It might be hard to contain our feelings within us during this time. It's not a good day to start projects but then it's a good day to think things through.

The lunar eclipse is in Sagittarius, which is a fire sign and full of energy. This time will be ideal for working on our relationships. It's ideal that we use this moment to be vulnerable with people we care about. We can show them how to support us and ask them how they would like to be shown affection too, as per Yearly-horoscope.org. Venus is in retrograde during this time and also occupies Gemini, which means that those activities associated with beauty, love, and money will be a little trickier, as per Allure. Gemini is a communicative air sign while Sagittarius is an adventurous sign. The lunar eclipse is on the Gemini-Sagittarius axis and it will be pushing us to become more curious. We will find within ourselves the encouragement to take risks and choose adventure over fear.

There might be a great need to search for something. It could be something within yourself or some form of validation you have been seeking outside of yourself. Your life might be in a state of flux at the moment and you crave meaning. To do that, you might feel safe creating goals, missions, and philosophies. While there is a great deal of change taking place in your life you know that things will work out in the end. When the moon is in Sagittarius, there's usually a positive approach to life and that means you still have hope. You believe that things will get better even if you have to go through a number of days or weeks in discomfort, as per MoonCalendar.

This month will be one of turmoil and sometimes, chaos too. There will be another eclipse right after the lunar eclipse and that will be a big one. On June 21 is the annual solar eclipse and it will bring in more changes, whether we are ready or not.
