The Brady Bunch kids featured in a home renovation show a few months ago where they renovated the iconic home and now they will host a Christmas special there.
If you thought only you and your family were gearing up for Christmas, think again. The Brady Bunch kids are also getting ready to host a Christmas special party at the iconic Brady house, where their fictional family lived.
The children are all grown up, of course, and have already taken it upon themselves to renovate the house.
The renovation show first premiered in September 2019 bringing all the Brady kids together in 15 years. They were paired with HGTV designers to help renovate the house, which was part of the series that ran between 1969 to 1974. Each Brady kid was given one room to renovate. The four-part TV series followed the Brady kids while they went about renovating the home from the beloved 1970s show in HGTV's A Very Brady Renovation show. Now they have decided on doing a Holiday special, which will premiere on Monday, December 16, at 10:00 pm ET/PT on HGTV.

It will be a crossover between Food Network and HGTV featuring Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy) as well as Food Network’s Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond and Jasmine Roth, star of HGTV’s Hidden Potential. The big group will be decorating the newly-renovated Brady house and cooking some classic ’70s-inspired Christmas dishes, according to People.

As fun as it was looking at them renovate the home, this new Christmas special will be even more fun. It will also feature Property Brothers stars Jonathan and Drew Scott, Good Bones’ Mina Starsiak and Karen E Laine, Flea Market Flip’s Lara Spencer, Restored by the Fords siblings Leanne and Steve Ford.
"We have remarkable star experts across every area of lifestyle content, so of course we’re inviting Food Network star Ree Drummond to HGTV’s Brady holiday episode," said HGTV president Jane Latman in a release. "Along with Jasmine Roth and the Brady siblings, we’ve assembled a dream team to create the ultimate holiday programming event."
During the holiday special, Drummond will lead the way in creating a Christmas feast. The on-screen siblings will be creating fondue-style potatoes, a gelatin fruit salad and "santapes" (Christmas canapes) and all this will be in the iconic green-and-orange Brady kitchen.
Since the objective of the episode is not only to whip up a Christmas meal but also decorate the house, Roth will be using her DIY skills to teach them how to create several holiday-inspired projects like turning shutters into toy soldier lawn decorations. The Brady Bunch kids have put in a lot of effort to recreate their former home and what better way to celebrate their success than sit down and have a small party there! So, a Christmas dinner under the newly decorated tree is in order.
This is THE most creative thing ever done on any remodel show! Thank you to all of the creators who saw this vision. There is no other TV family home as iconic as the Brady House. This should be the set for future Brady sequels!— dallasurbanpopmusic (@dallasurbanpop) October 18, 2019
If you are curious about the home's past, you might be interested to know that it was put on the market 50 years after it was bought by George and Violet McCalister in 1973 for $61,000. The 3-bedroom, 3-bath, and 2,477-square-feet space was purchased by HGTV for $3.5 million for shooting the A Very Brady Renovation, says CountryLiving.
