This Mom Had Three Daughters on the Same Day but They’re Not Triplets | Their Rescue Dog Also Has the Same Birthday

This is honestly very rare and to have three daughters, all born three years apart on the same date, is simply magical!

Kristin Lammert calls herself a planner, but even the most immaculate planning couldn't have ensured that events would line up like this! You see, Lammert is a mom of three, and she gave birth to all three of her daughters on August 25th. The best part, they were over a span of six years, which means these girls weren't born together, but rather, on the same date.

When Lammert's first daughter, Sophia, arrived on August 25, 2015, they were happy knowing that she shared the same birth date as their rescue dog, Koda Bear. On the day Sophia turned three, she also became a big sister. Yes, they'd welcomed their second daughter, Giuliana, on August 25, 2018.

At the time, they thought it was a coincidence, but on August 25, 2021, Lammert welcomed her third daughter, Mia. "By my third one, I'm like, 'Wow, this is kind of like freaky fate,'" Lammert said, according to CNN.

“We were just in disbelief,” Lammert, 32, of Oviedo, Florida, told TODAY Parents. “The closer we got to Aug. 25 and the more that we joked about it at home, the more I wanted it to happen. ... Actually, Sophia said that she was going to get a sister again for her sixth birthday. She was wanting that to happen and I thought, ‘Well, it could.’”

Apart from being born on August 25th, all three girls are born three years apart! This is actually a quite rare scenario because one can't really calculate the exact due date.

“It is extremely rare. … We’ve spoken to some statisticians and they say it’s really hard to calculate,” Dr. Christine Greves, an OB-GYN at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, who is not Lammert’s doctor, said. “The Guinness Book of World Records holder is a family that has five siblings born on the same day and they listed that as being about one in a 17 billion chance.”

Greves also noted that just 5% of babies are born on their due dates.

When Lammert was pregnant with Sophia, she had to be induced as she'd passed her due date. With Giuliana, her due date was August 29, but Lammert knew she'd come earlier. “I had joked that she could come four days early and the family was like, ‘Well, yeah but that’s probably not going to happen on its own,’” Lammert recalled.

As for the coincidences, Lammert's oldest daughter just can't get enough of it. “Sophia is very emotional about a lot of things in a good way,” Lammert said. “She appreciates the uniqueness and excitement of that.” She's also over the moon about the fact that she gets to plan grand birthday parties for all of them together.

“She thinks that it’s very special,” Lammert said. “She just loves that she’s sharing her birthday with her sister because she’s now had three birthday parties that have been joint birthday parties.”

“It’s really precious to see the three of them interacting together,” says Lammert, but there are days where she just can't believe that she's got three daughters —and a rescue dog— who all share the same birthday!

“It’s very unique. Honestly, I don’t understand it myself,” Lammert said. “Sometimes I go and stare at their birth certificates. I’m like, ‘They actually all have the same birthday.’”
