People think pregnancy is a wonderful journey, where women look their absolute best until they give birth. But, what people forget to talk about is the morning sickness that doesn't just happen in the morning. They forget to talk about acne, hair loss, mood swings, and cravings. And they just don't mention the changes your body goes through during pregnancy.

Most of these assumptions about the beauty of pregnancy come from men. They think that the responsibilities that come with being a dad are what's really difficult, and one overconfident dad-to-be decided to prove to his partner that it's not that hard walking around with a huge belly.

Brisbane-based Australian couple Maitland and Jessica both work in the field of content creation. They are known to hilariously prank each other and the two recently announced that they were going to be parents.

Maitland, who's always on the lookout for an opportunity, decided to try and be pregnant for a day, so he could prove to his partner that it wasn't a big deal. Boy, he had no idea what was in store for him.

The overconfident man then attached a large watermelon to his belly and two smaller ones to his chest to make it look like he had enlarged breasts. The TikToker held the three melons together on his torso with the help of a lot of saran wrap.

On his first day of being pregnant, Maitland ran into some major trouble. He couldn't even get out of bed because of his belly!

He soon realized that getting out of the bath or the car was also not easy.

It took some time and effort to pull himself out of these places. However, he found it easy to put on some shoes. He also made sure to get his workout in, by doing pushups. Good thing it was a watermelon and not an actual baby, right?

But, he did make use of his fake pregnancy and went to order some junk, just because he was "craving it."

About a week ago, Jessica gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Aizen Kai Hanley! While Maitland may have done what he did as a joke, it does shed some light on the struggles a woman goes through when she's pregnant.
