"We're like two older women 'cause we will sit almost too close to each other at a booth," Allen said.
Toy Story co-stars Tim Allen and Tom Hanks have developed a "wonderful and engaging" friendship since first bringing Buzz Lightyear and Woody to life in the 1995 Walt Disney and Pixar animated film. During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the 69-year-old Allen spoke to host Kelly Clarkson about his future with the Toy Story franchise and his everlasting friendship with Hanks. According to TMZ, the veteran actors were spotted dining in Los Angeles this September, with the media outlet calling it a "mysterious breakfast date."

Allen gushed about his longtime friend Hanks in the interview, explaining to Clarkson that they have "really become very close friends from 'Toy Story 1.'"
"He and I differ on so many things... I adore that man's heart and mind," Allen said, revealing that he and Hanks meet up for "the most peculiar lunches" at times. "He is a very different person than me and he eats off my plate," the star added, explaining that he comes "from a family where you don't do that."
The Wild Hogs actor also divulged that they've been meeting up for lunches a couple of times every year since first working together on the popular franchise. "We've been going to lunch twice a year and we're like two older women 'cause we will sit almost too close to each other at a booth," Allen said. "It's just weird. And I go, 'I think I'm going to get up and sit at that side of the table.'"
In the interview, Allen also revealed that even Hanks' wife, Rita Wilson, gets curious about what they discuss over their lunch dates.
"I don't think I've ever trusted a human being as much as Tom to even listen to me and vice versa," Allen told Clarkson on the show. "We have very different opinions on so many different things but he's gotten me to accept his— he's really a wonderful and engaging person. He's the first guy to listen to me and doesn't judge."

Post the release of the new Lightyear film this year, Tim Allen expressed some confusion about Chris Evans voicing the iconic character which he had originally voiced for the Toy Story franchise, reported PEOPLE. Allen told Extra in a June interview, "The short answer is I've stayed out of this 'cause it has nothing to do [with my character]. This is a whole new team that really had nothing to do with the first movies." Allen believes that although Evans' Lightyear has "a wonderful story," it "just doesn't seem to have any connection to the toy."
Allen will be seen reprising his role of Scott Calvin from The Santa Clause in the upcoming Disney+ series titled The Santa Clauses.
