Good and her ex-husband met while working on the 2011 film Jumping the Broom. A year later they got engaged in May 2012 and tied the knot in June 2012. They announced their split in December 2021. "After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected," the pair said in a joint statement, according to PEOPLE.

"We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There's no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love." The pair had previously documented their love story in the bestselling 2015 book The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love where they spoke about their core values as a couple including having sex until marriage which they claimed was the key to success in their relationship at the time.

A source said that their busy schedules played a role in the breakdown of their relationship. "Their work schedules often kept them apart, and they just haven't been spending a lot of time together this past year," the insider said at the time. "When they did have time in their schedules, it'd often just be hours that they would be able to spend quality time together."
