The 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' star has been able to win back some of his admirers by embracing his original silly persona in a self-deprecating, and ultimately hilarious video.
Will Smith's career was completely turned upside down with his infamous Oscars slap in 2022. Smith had gotten his first-ever Best Actor Academy Award for his portrayal in 2021's King Richard. The Oscar should have been a significant milestone in Smith's lengthy career. But, after Chris Rock made a joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith's alopecia, he got up from his seat and slapped Rock across the face. This action appeared to have overshadowed his achievement.
After that, Smith even embarked on an "apology tour," but many people were still shocked by his deeds. Smith was also prohibited from attending the Oscars for the following 10 years as a result of the incident by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

But, it appears that the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star has been able to win back some of his admirers by embracing his original silly persona in a self-deprecating, and ultimately hilarious TikTok. In the video, Smith hears a TikTok creator propose that one way to make life more “interesting and fun” is to inquire what inanimate objects feel about you, per Huffpost. “It sounds insane, but it will change your life,” the TikTok creator starts talking as the Pursuit of Happyness actor seems to be interested in what she has to say. She continues, adding, “Did you know that you can pick any object, look at it, and ask it what it thinks of you?”

The TikToker continues, adding an example to illustrate her theory better. She says, “So, for example, you can pick up a pen and ask it how it sees you or what it thinks of you, and you will get an answer in your mind from your intuition.”
Smith appears to stare at something off-camera after hearing this proposal. When the TikTok creator continues to provide examples of various goods that could be used, such as a car or even money, Smith ultimately brings in his Oscar trophy.
Smith is perplexed as he examines the statuette in his TikTok video. He then picks it up, displays it to the camera, and seems to want to say something, but the video abruptly ends as he looks on awkwardly bewildered, dejected, and at a loss for words. The Emancipation star finally responded to the incident, and it was by making fun of himself. Smith apparently got some positive feedback from his joke about himself. Someone wrote in reaction to his silly video, “Remorse period expired. Welcome back Will,” and many other fans also appreciated his candor. Another fan wrote, "I fear it's a 10/10, no notes!"
