A family without drama is a rare find. It might sometimes be so intense that some decide to cut ties with family members.

However, deaths are situations when most families keep their differences aside and come together to support each other. However, one woman was so done with her family that she ensured they never found their way back even when she died by making an exclusive guest list for her funeral service. She advised the uninvited people to move on with their lives.

According to Daily Star, Maria Paz Fuentes Fernandez from Spain published a special obituary that excluded her blood relatives. Instead, she detailed the names of the people who could attend her funeral. She stated that she only wanted the ones in the list for her funeral.

"Since my family has not been by blood for a long time, I declare in my last will and testament that only the people mentioned below can attend my funeral service, be it at the funeral parlour, church or cemetery," stated the woman, who passed away on June 2, 2021.

The woman listed the names of 15 people who she considered were her true family. She also had a message for those people who were not invited to her funeral. "To everyone else who never cared during my life, I want you to carry on living far away from me, just like you were before," wrote the woman. The obituary was published in the El Progreso newspaper in Lugo, Galicia.

Unsurprisingly, her newspaper post garnered a lot of attention. Many were impressed by the woman's decision and called her brave. They took to social media to support the woman, according to Mirror.

"If they left her alone during her life, they can get lost with their hypocrisy, well away from her funeral. Great lesson from this lady putting them in her place," wrote one user on Twitter. Another wrote, "My respect and total admiration for Mrs Maria Paz, rest in peace." However, not everyone admired the woman's last act. Some called her out for being vengeful even before her last breath. They were convinced that she died an "unhappy, spiteful woman."

They also referred to her guest list as a "disgrace." "Dying bitter has to be one of the saddest ways to die, truthfully," wrote one user.

Meanwhile, her number of guests is in accordance with the pandemic regulations. As per the restrictions in Galicia, a maximum of 25 people are allowed for funerals and cremations.
