The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is always special. Imagine how much more precious it would be to have a great-great-grandchild. Not only did Vivian Thomas get to spend time with her adorable great-great-grandchild, they also share a birthday. It was a special day for Thomas and her great-great-grandchild Eloise as they got to celebrate their landmark birthdays together on May 21, 2022. Thomas turned 100 and Eloise one. The pair have an age difference of 99 years. They posed together for their birthdays, as reported by FoxNews9.

The adorable birthday picture showed Eloise sitting on her great-great-grandmother's lap. The baby was smiling and looking at her. Eloise was wearing a peach romper covered in rainbows. Thomas was wearing a blue floral print top and silver earrings. Though Eloise may not understand now what it means to have a great-great-grandmother, as she gets older she could cherish these images of her special birthday. The family organized a joint birthday party in Lake Crystal, Minnesota. Thomas has lived there all her life and has no plans to move. Having lived a long happy life, she shared valuable life advice for those looking to live long lives. "No smoking, no drinking, and no candy," she said.
People on the Internet were overjoyed to see the two. A woman wrote, "Isn't that wonderful Happy Happy Birthday to this lady and her great-great grandbaby. This baby will always remember this special occasion." Another Facebook user wrote, "Happy Birthday beautiful! Enjoy this special day with your sweet granddaughter." Many others wished the two Happy Birthdays. Thomas isn't the only one who got to share her birthday with a family member. A woman from New Mexico turned 105, as reported by WDSU News. Just a day before Iva Vest's birthday, her great-great-great-granddaughter was born. She was named after Vest. They call her Iva Jean. She has three daughters and seven grandchildren.
She feels every birthday is special since she turned 100 years old. Talking about her life, Vest shared that she grew up on farms in Iowa and had no electricity at home until she turned 12. She attended country school in one room and just had one teacher.
She calls herself lucky for meeting her husband early. They were in the same class in 1934. Vest and her husband were married for 55 years. She celebrated her birthday with 70 people from Los Altos Christian Church in Albuquerque. "I was overwhelmed. Saw friends I hadn't seen for quite a while," said Vest, who also shared similar advice on living longer. "Try to live a good life. Eat healthy," said Vest.
