When a pregnant woman took a quick restroom break at a Fulton County Mcdonald's she was definitely not expecting to come out of there with her baby. But that's what happened to Alandria Worthy who began having contractions at around 3 am on Wednesday. Until around 7:30 am it started to get stronger. Her fiancé, Deandre Phillips rushed her to the hospital but on the way they needed to make a quick stop. "I immediately felt like I had to use the bathroom," Worthy told 11 Alive. "So we stopped by McDonald's to use the bathroom."

As soon as she went in, her water broke. The shocked mom began crying out for help. Tunisia Woodward, General Manager for the McDonald's on Fulton Industrial Boulevard stepped in. Worthy told her she was in labor and "I said, 'Somebody get the man in the car - I need him!'" Woodward and her two colleagues, Sha’querria Kaigler and Keisha Blue-Murray came to her rescue. "Sha'querria grabbed the phone, dialed 911. Keisha ran, looking at the door," Woodward said. By this time her fiance realized something was happening and rushed in. "He ran into them at the same time and said, 'Babe, are you alright?' and I said, 'No, she's coming. She's coming," Worthy added. "I was like, we're about to have a baby, and his instincts kicked in immediately."

"She was on the toilet screaming," Phillips recalled. "I was trying to calm her down because she was frantic. I was like just breathe. I got her on the floor, and I took off my clothes. The ladies at McDonald's were at her front side, holding her hands, I had her feet propped up on my knees. We told her to push three pushes. She was a fighter." 15 minutes later Nandi Ariyah Moremi Phillips arrived into the world. The McDonald's staff adorably nicknamed her "McDonald's Little Nugget" "She's definitely a nugget," Phillips agreed. "My parents loved the name, too. We were like, okay, it fits her. My little nugget."
According to WSB TV, the staff was praised for their quick thinking and swift action and awarded a $250 gift card to be used toward their Thanksgiving dinner celebrations. Steve Akinboro, the owner of the store called it “the epitome of a feel-good moment for my team.” “These three local Atlanta employees are a fantastic example of our crew making a difference for our customers and local communities every day!” McDonald’s officials said.
