Woman Makes Shocking Discovery on Son's Wedding Day | His Bride Was Actually Her Daughter She Had Lost Decades Ago

Reality is stranger than fiction sometimes, but in the case of a mother and daughter, their reality is quite like fiction. What happened to this duo sounds like a plot straight out of daytime television. Weddings are full of drama, tears, and laughter, but one family found more than the nuptials to be happy about and celebrate. This incredible story is so shocking it sounds like a movie plot.

A mother believed she was getting her son married but in the process, she gained her daughter back. A woman discovered that her son's bride was actually her long-lost daughter. The incident took place in China. She was reportedly able to recognize her daughter because of a birthmark on her hand. They had been separated many years ago and she still remembered the exact location and shape of the birthmark.

The two women were seen crying and embracing each other when they were reunited in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, on March 31, as reported by Times News Now. The mother and daughter got separated more than 20 years ago, which is when the bride-to-be was found by her adoptive parents. They took her in and raised her. However, they also kept this a secret. Perhaps, if they had reported the missing child, she would have been found by her biological parents years ago.

The Chinese woman, who was supposed to be the groom's mother, had searched for her biological child for many years before adopting her son. At the wedding, when she noticed the birthmark on the bride's hand she asked the bride's parents if their daughter was adopted, to which they replied in the affirmative. They were taken aback by the question since they had kept it a secret but narrated how they found their daughter.

When the truth came out, the bride burst into tears as she had been desperate to meet her biological family. When she realized that her mother-in-law is her biological mom, the bride said she was "happier than the wedding day itself," the publication reported.

Upon finding her connection with her soon-to-be mother-in-law, the bride was obviously worried that she would end up marrying her elder brother. However, this new information created no roadblocks for the wedding as the groom was adopted as well, as per Oriental Daily. Since they were not biological siblings, the wedding was allowed to take place. The family celebrated two joyous occasions on the same day.

It is unimaginable how the mom would have felt on finding her child, alive and well, after more than two decades.
