Mom Left Devastated After Heartless Thieves Steals Her Baby Son’s Ashes in Burglary

Recalling the distressing incident that unfolded over the weekend, Chloe Robinson said she woke up to find that her child's ashes had been emptied with mere remnants lying in her home.

A mother from Wales was left heartbroken after losing her son for the second time as "evil" thieves stole her stillborn son's ashes while robbing her home. 22-year-old Chloe Robinson shared how her baby boy, Hunter was tragically stillborn at 37 weeks. The grief-stricken mother was just bracing herself for her late son's death anniversary (which is at the end of this month) when heartless burglars broke into her Quay home and snatched the only "irreplaceable" item from her. Recalling the distressing incident that unfolded over the weekend, Robinson said she woke up to find that her child's ashes had been emptied with mere remnants lying in her home.

According to North Wales Live, it's the second time in the past year that Robinson's home had been broken into. But she noted that it's the first time that a priceless item had been stolen from her. "I can't believe what kind of sick individual would do this," expressed the grieving mother. The burglary itself was enough to leave the young woman shocked but when she discovered what the perpetrators had done to her son's ashes, Robinson simply lost it. "I saw the damage to my flat and that was upsetting enough but when I saw that my son's ashes were gone, I just lost it, I was screaming and crying."

There's no way that burglars didn't know what they were stealing because among the things stolen were balloons that were meant for Hunter's November 25 memorial party. In addition to stealing her son's ashes, the thieves even destroyed items from his memorial which included photos of Chloe and her son together. "When you look at a child's ashes you know that's irreplaceable, it's all I've got to remember him by," she said. "I just can't imagine who would do this, they are evil and twisted scumbags. The whole flat was trashed, they even left used condoms on the couch, I just can't get my head around it, it's disgusting."

Despite the traumatic incident, Chloe is determined not to let it spoil her son's memorial. To this end, she is planning a special service to honor her baby later this month. The heartbroken mom has also set up a fundraising page to raise money that would help her pay for some of the lost items and replace them as a tribute to her beloved son. "Trying to keep my head up in this time is so hard," she said, adding, "but I'm still fighting for justice and I'm always going to fight to keep Hunter's memory alive." According to The Daily Star, the burglary was reported to the North Wales Police who confirmed that they did visit the address in Connah's Quay before noting that the inquiries are currently ongoing.

Just last week, a Tennesse man was left distressed after his late daughter's ashes were stolen along with his car. According to PEOPLE, Patrick Sanabria and his wife went hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains on Tuesday but when they returned their Sanabria's White 1997 Ford Ranger had been stolen. Inside the car was a locket hanging from the rearview mirror that contained Sanabria's late 1-year-old daughter's ashes. "I got maybe five minutes of walking in and realized what I'd left on the rearview mirror there and just broke down there in the middle of the gravel road. It's like I lost her all over again," he told local CBS affiliate WVLT

"Even that little pendant, that little piece, like I said it's like losing her all over again. Like she's already gone and they just took a little bit more. It sucks that those people exist," he added. Sanabria is not concerned about finding his car but it's the locked inside that is priceless for him. Anyone with information about the stolen vehicle is encouraged to contact the Gatlinburg Police at 865-436-5181.
